Volunteering Activities with VIDYA Students
| Volunteering Activities | Activity Details |

| VIDYA MITR Program | The MITR program is a mentoring/buddying program that endeavour’s to use the knowledge and experience of mentors to bring out the true potential of VIDYA students. |
| Festival Celebrations e.g. Diwali, Christmas | Light Diya’s together or sing carols and dance during Christmas with our wonderful students |
| Celebrations of National Holidays e.g. Independence Day, Republic Day etc. | Unfurl the national flag together and sing our national anthem in remembrance of how India was reborn |
| Celebration of Other eventful days, e.g. Teacher’s Day, Earth Day etc. | Celebrate local and global days to create awareness on specific issues, which will help expose students to new ideas and feel kinship with the rest of the world |
| Exhibitions and workshops | The school conducts various exhibitions and workshops with the help of different institutions. You may like to participate and sponsor some of these events. |
| Career Counselling | “Do I want to be a pilot?”, or “Is hotel management the best option for me?” We conduct career counselling workshops for students, you can participate in and fund these. |
| Excursions | Taking a group of students to places of historic interest, museums, art galleries, National Science Centre, Planetarium, National Museum of Natural History, Sultanpur National Park. |
| Educational Movies | Taking a group of students to an educational/inspirational movie. There are plenty of movies for primary classes as well e.g. Charlotte’s Web, Finding Nemo, Frozen, Homeward Bound- The Incredible Journey, Lion King, etc. |
| School Sports Day | A one day event where a large number of students participate in races, games etc. |
| School Cultural Day | Inter house competitions in various events e.g. debates, quizzes, painting competitions etc. |
| Music/Dance/Theatre Workshop | An expert coming along and conducting workshops for a week |
| Sports Matches with the VIDYA Students | Play a football or cricket match against our students! |
| Competitions – Painting, music and more | The school conducts various competitions through the year. You may signup to participate/fund any one of these |
| Beyond Curriculum – Sciences | You can demystify natural phenomena and the inner workings of the world for our students. Give them a glimpse of what the future looks like. For the juniors we can organize some fun-filled science projects. |
| Beyond Curriculum – Maths | Introduce our students to the magical world of numbers, and the practical world of mathematical tricks and shortcuts! |
| Beyond Curriculum – Computers, Cyber security, Social media | This will cover basic skills and also how to use the internet securely and efficiently. Also a whole lot of computer activities for primary children using Google Apps and Microsoft Plus Package. |
| Beyond Curriculum – English Conversation | English is the world’s language for trade and communication. Teach our students conversation skills, pronunciation, and the right use of the words to give them an edge wherever they go. |
| Story Telling | Narrate inspirational and educational stories in the class |
| Corporate Culture inductions | A 2-3 hour visit to your office, where somebody takes them around and explains how things work in the office and the corporate world. The goal is to expose them to a different way of thinking and working. |
