VIDYA with its remarkable journey of 35 years is a registered not-for-profit organization working for the education, empowerment, and transformation of less privileged children, youth and women through micro-level intervention. VIDYA was founded in 1985 by Rashmi Misra, who taught a class of five girls at her home on the campus of IIT Delhi, which turned out to be the start of a movement. In the past three decades, VIDYA has impacted over 4,50,000 people with a presence in 5 metropolitan cities (Delhi, Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai & Pune) and 78 successful projects across the country. Our nationally recognized grass-root level programs include schools, beyond school education, distance learning, computer training, youth management, adult literacy, skills training and social entrepreneurship for the less privileged.
